Adeline CALOSCI Française, b. 1980

Adeline Calosci, born in 1980, is a French painter and visual artist. Born into a theatrical family, she began studying theater at the age of 15, spending ten years at Cours Florent, Aquaviva School, and the Conservatoire Supérieur d’Art Dramatique de Paris. During her acting career and before briefly returning to the Comédie-Française, she worked with renowned directors such as Catherine Hiégel and George Lavaudant. Between 2005 and 2008, Adeline Calosci developed several media projects, including short series produced by Ari Tordjman and broadcast on TF6 for three years.
Adeline is known for her neo-pop Japanese icons that reflect the codes of an aestheticized and infantilized society: Kawaii. Adeline's work addresses multiple themes, ranging from global current events to the human condition, including spirituality and overconsumption. She constantly questions society about its beliefs: do you prefer the image to the thing, the copy to the original, the representation to the reality, or appearance to being?
