For Art Paris 2025, A2Z Art Gallery is honored to bring into dialogue the works of Bao Vuong and Shiori Eda, two artists who explore the confrontation with the elements, between chaos and renewal.
One works with the sea as a living material, oscillating between darkness and flashes of light. The other paints a world in transformation, where humanity appears both erased and oppressed. Between waves and storms, their works reveal the power of a world in constant transformation.
For Bao Vuong, the sea is a force that is both mysterious and absolute. In his deep blacks, the water absorbs and reflects, engulfs and hides a message of hope on the horizon. But beyond the darkness, a light rises, light yet persistent, like a breath after the storm.
For Shiori Eda, inner storms take shape in troubled landscapes where air, water, and earth seem to rage. Her figures, tiny and vulnerable, try to exist in a world that is collapsing. "Human society, built by the union of peoples, reaches saturation and divides..." Her paintings capture a suspended moment, a vision where everything seems to waver, but where a trace of hope remains.
One sculpts the sea as a space of transformation, the other paints the storm as a mirror of our uncertain world. Their work reminds us that the elements do not only destroy: they sculpt, transform, and glimpse renewal.
By bringing together Bao Vuong and Shiori Eda, A2Z Art Gallery offers an immersive experience, a face-to-face encounter between strength and fragility, collapse and rebirth.
