BU Hua Chinoise, b. 1973

Bu Hua grew up during the economic boom and materialism era in China. Encouraged by her father, an artist and printmaker, Bu Hua attended the   Central Academy of Arts and Tsinghua University of Design in Beijing. She then continued her studies in the Netherlands at the Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten.

She was a child prodigy and in 2002 her video CAT went viral on the internet (over 10 million clicks) and is   considered one of the milestones of Chinese Internet Animation. The work was screened as the opening film of numerous festivals around the world such as the International Animation Film Festival, Annecy in France and Zagreb in Croatia.

He has brought the best of Chinese digital art to the world. In addition to numerous exhibitions in China, especially between Beijing and Shanghai, he has exhibited in  Malaysia, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Melbourne and London. Among the various festivals and events, he has participated in the Slovenia Graphic Art Biennale, the French International Animation Festival in Bordeaux, the Urban Nomad Film Festival in Taiwan and Switzerland, the Present Tense Biennale in San Francisco, USA. 

She is one of the most representative artists of Chinese multimedia art.
