A pause. An in-between. Interlude emerges as a breath within the frenetic rhythm of contemporary creation. This collective exhibition brings together artists from the A2Z stable in a suspended moment— a space where artworks leave the reserves to engage in dialogue, allowing for a fleeting moment of reflection
Presented at the gallery from March 20 to April 30, Interlude unfolds during a flourishing period for the Parisian contemporary art market, coinciding with the Spring Art Week and the Art Paris fair. Each exhibited piece becomes a fragment of a temporary narrative. Interlude is an interval, a pause where creations—sometimes forgotten, sometimes unexplored—are revisited. This temporary spotlight questions the temporality of art and the permanence of collections.
The featured artists—whether emerging talents or established names represented by A2Z Art Gallery—embody the diversity and commitment that define the gallery’s identity. Since its inception, A2Z Art Gallery has been dedicated to promoting artists with unique journeys, blending various practices and cultural influences, and fostering bold artistic dialogues. Each creator enriches this vision, offering diverse perspectives on the contemporary world and continuously pushing the boundaries of artistic expression.
This exhibition also reflects A2Z’s mission: to support its artists at every stage of their careers and to enhance their visibility on the international art scene. The selection presented in Interlude perfectly illustrates the gallery’s backbone—an artistic coherence rooted in the diversity of cultural origins, practices, and narratives. Each artist embodies a fragment of this multifaceted identity, constructing a rich and profound dialogue between different contemporary perspectives and expressions. Based on the gallery’s artistic curation over the past fifteen years, Interlude is an invitation to contemplate, rediscover, and interact with works that, though created in varied contexts, find a newfound coherence within this exhibition.
In this suspension of time, the boundaries between the visible and the hidden, the old and the new, oblivion and memory become blurred. Interlude does not seek to freeze the moment but to offer a space for exchange where both artworks and perspectives circulate freely. Between reservation and revelation, between yesterday and tomorrow, Interlude is a shared breath, a necessary pause—a moment of anticipation where anything remains possible.
